Dreamland by Coin

Genre: Alternative

If the band COIN sounds familiar, you have probably heard the hit single “Talk Too Much” from their 2017 album, How Will You Know If You Never Try. This week, Dreamland will mark the release of their third studio album. Although COIN has not been around as long as some of the other bands and artists on this list, they are on the rise. In his interview with Substream MagazineChase Lawrence (lead singer) said: “I feel like I’ve just been in a cocoon, and maybe I’m still there but hopefully this album will be our butterfly.” The band has been teasing the new album since 2018 with the release of six singles, the most recent being “Youuu.”

Ordinary Man by Ozzy Osbourne

Genre: Heavy Metal

Ozzy Osbourne rose to fame in the 1970s as the lead singer of the heavy metal band, Black Sabbath. Due to issues concerning substance abuse, he was kicked out of the band in 1979. The release of Ordinary Man will mark Osbourne’s 12th studio album of his successful solo career. His 2019 album, See You on the Other Side, was very well-received and has set the standards high for Ordinary Man. He recently hit the charts as a result of his feature on “Take What You Want” by Post Malone. Osbourne’s album will include collaborations with Post Malone, Elton John, Slash and other talented musicians. He has released three singles from Ordinary Man that have given fans high hopes for the album.

Miss Anthropocene by Grimes

Genre: Alternative

Grimes is a Canadian singer known for her eclectic sounding music. She has been in the press recently after her announcement that she is pregnant. Because she has been dating Elon Musk since 2018, it is believed that he is the father. Her most recent album, Art Angels, was released back in 2015. Five years later, she is finally releasing Miss Anthropocene, which will be her fifth studio album. In her interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, she describes Miss Anthropocene as “a concept album about the anthropomorphic goddess of climate change.” She has released multiple singles from the new album so far that have a darker sound than her previous albums. Although this album has been completed for a long time, it has remained unreleased due to issues with Grimes’ current record label. Now, the wait for Miss Anthropocene is officially over.

Map of the Soul: 7 by BTS

Genre: K-Pop

BTS is a South Korean boy band that has achieved great commercial success internationally in recent years. Since their debut in 2013, the band has released six studio albums. This week, they will be releasing their seventh studio album, Map of the Soul: 7. This album is a sequel to their previous album, Map of the Soul: Persona, which was very well-received. With that album, they earned their third number one spot on the Billboard album chart in less than a year – which matched a record previously set by The Beatles. Due to the band’s overwhelming international success, Map of the Soul: 7 is expected to be at the top of the charts following its release.
