Trump’s former Senior Counselor and Republican pollster, Kellyanne Conway is being accused of uploading nude photos of the 16-year old daughter, Claudia Conway. The photos were released on Kellyanne’s Twitter account using the newly added Fleets feature on the app. The new addition to the Twitter app allows users to post on their story for 24 hours before content disappears, very similar to the Story feature on Instagram. Claudia addressed the situation on her TikTok account, where she has over 65 million likes and 1.6 million followers. Claudia is well-known on TikTok for the contrast between herself and Kellyanne and features dozens of TikToks about her stark disdain for her mother’s involvement in the Trump Administration.
Her TikTok videos have since been deleted, but according to the New York Post, who has the video transcripts, Claudia had a lot to say about her mother’s potential involvement with this leak. “The picture’s from months ago and I’m assuming that’s when my mom took my phone”, Claudia posts. She adds, “And I guess she accidentally posted it, or somebody hacked her. But nobody would ever have any photo like that ever, so Kellyanne, you’re going to f***ing jail”.
Claudia urges users online to report the photo in her other removed TikToks. News outlets reached out to Kellyanne for a statement on the situation and were quickly shut down by a very upset Kellyanne and Claudia.
As of late Tuesday morning, Claudia has posted four new videos on her TikTok account re-addressing the situation. She explains that “This isn’t forced, this is coming from me, Claudia”, and she goes on, “I have faith and I know that my mother would never put something like that on the internet”. Another of the videos includes Claudia expressing remorse and guilt over her original claim that her mother posted these intentionally. “I acted irrationally and impulsively and it is something that I do regret”.
Claudia has said that she and her family are taking a break from social media due to the volatile nature of the internet and the backlash that her mother is receiving. “My mom and I, we fight like mothers and daughters, but we also love like mothers and daughters and I do love her,” the teen says.
Commenters made note of the difference between her original statement and her newly updated word on the situation. “She’s an abuser”, one commenter leaves. Others explain how the videos seem “concerning” and speculate that Claudia’s body language is abnormal and worrisome. The comment section continues to grow and as well as concern around Claudia’s safety. Of course, this is merely guesswork on behalf of her 1.6 million followers and this story is developing.
