During every spring break, parents have the nice idea of doing something fun with you. Its weird. No one likes it. Its awkward.

Enjoy home cooked food.

You can only eat your instant mac and cheese for so long before you start to go through some serious withdrawals of real food. No one makes food like your Mom.

Give yourself a pep talk to get through the rest of the semester.

Spring semester is scientifically proven to be harder than fall. While spring break can be a nice time to distress it can also be a great time to freak yourself out about how your plate is overfilling.

Reflect on your midterms week.

When the grades of the 900 midterms you took last week are finally put on blackboard, its easy to fall into a dark hole. Midterms week was literal hell. #neverforget

Find a new hobby.

You have so much time over break. Take that time to find a new hobby like woodworking, sewing, or crocheting. You have so much time! The world of hobbies awaits.

Get overdramatic when all your friends are doing something fun.

All your friends are in Key West or where ever the new Spring Break hangout is. They’re loving life, getting drunk on the beach and hanging out with each other. It sucks. Not even your favorite home cooked meal can help.

Cry because you’re only halfway through the semester.

This can easily be paired with reflecting on your midterms week. After this you still need to tackle more exams, papers, presentations, interviews, emails and projects. Take a moment to freak out. Go on you deserved it.
