With this year’s virtual awards season in full swing, the E! People’s Choice Awards ceremony was held this past Sunday night, hosted by Demi Lovato. While fans weighed in for the biggest pop-culture awards show, star-studded nominees from 44 categories ranging from Hollywood blockbusters to fashion, to the biggest social media influencers awaited the winners. Here are the highlights, ICYMI (in case you missed it)!

When it came down to deciding the Favorite Show of 2020, the category was flooded with quality and binge-worthy nominations from television classics like The Bachelor and Grey’s Anatomy, to quarantine favorites like Outer Banks and Tiger King. At the end of the day, it was no shock that the 17 season-long Grey’s Anatomy won out.

Diving into the social sphere, despite being in a group of worthy opponents including Addison Rae and the D’amelio sisters, 19-year-old influencer Emma Chamberlain earned the title of Social Star of 2020, as well as the category for Pop Podcast of 2020 with her podcast, Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain.

The race for Male Artist of 2020 was another competitive and star-studded category including artists like Drake, The Weeknd, J Balvin, Blake Shelton, Da Baby and more. The Beliebers spoke their minds, however, and Justin Bieber came out on top!

Similar to the male artists, the female artist category was also rich with talent, and full of big names like Billie Eilish and Miley Cyrus to Taylor Swift and Megan Thee Stallion. With her newest album Positions dropping last month, Ariana Grande beat out her competition and pulled through for the title of Female Artist of 2020. She was also a nominee in multiple other categories including Song, Music Video and Collab of 2020.

Un-shockingly, BTS fans, who are known for their unwavering dedication to their favorite group, showed up and showed out in this fan-decided awards show. Despite being up against other big names like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, BTS ended the night winning every category they had been nominated for, which included the following: Group of 2020, the Song and Music Video of 2020 for their song “Dynamite,” as well as Album of 2020 for their latest album Map of the Soul: 7.

2020 has been an iconic year for collaborations, from “Rain on Me” with Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga to “Life is Good” with Future and Drake. However, only three months after its release, “WAP” by Cardi B featuring Megan Thee Stallion has become an anthem, breaking records on the charts and streaming services alike. All things considered, it was no shock that this iconic bop won the category for Collaboration of 2020.

With the release of her hit single “Say So” in late 2019, Doja Cat quickly became a popular artist with multiple charting songs and TikTok anthems like “Boss Bitch,” “Tia Tamera” and “Motive,” a collaboration with Ariana Grande. There is no doubt that she deserves the title of New Artist of 2020; although, she faced formidable opponents including Conan Gray and Roddy Ricch.

Although these were just the biggest wins of the night, there were plenty of other categories that your favorite might’ve won. See here for the full list of nominees and winners, and here for all of the stunning red carpet looks!
