Searching for the perfect gift for your special someone? Have no idea where to begin? We’ve all been there. Every year, we all want to find the gift that’s going to be the highlight of his holiday, but depending on your sweetheart, that challenge may be a little tougher than imagined. Each guy has his own personality; no two are alike, making them extra hard to shop for. Rather than heading over to the cologne counter (which is always a safe, yet over done gift) step outside of the box and think of something he doesn’t even know he wants. No matter your budget, there’s always something out there that he will love. Whether it comes pre-wrapped from Neiman Marcus or is a one-of-a-kind homemade treasure, check out my gift guide below to get some ideas for your guy.

The Sports Fanatic

Buying him a jersey, photo memorabilia, or glass with his favorite team logo embellished is always a safe bet. Instead, get him timeless. Depending on your price range, a Starter Jacket might be a little up there, but it will definitely insure a best girlfriend of the year award on your end. These were huge in the 80s and 90s, and have never gone out of style. Their recent resurgence and upcoming popularity will make your guy a step ahead of the trend.

The Young Professional

For those guys with internships, jobs, or future plans of working a job that requires them to be sharply dressed everyday, personalized collar slips are the gift of the year. You can even have them personalized with your own message from a variety of boards on Etsy. Whether you want them to be a little more rustic or more polished, there is a plentiful variety to choose from at a wide range of prices. Wondering where you find such a novelty? Etsy has your back.

Your Favorite Geek

Depending on what kind of geek your guy is, there are almost an endless amount of gift options for you to choose from. If your guy is a computer geek, pick up the latest piece of computer technology/innovation from your local Best Buy. A Dr. Who or Star Wars fanatic? Think Geek has an endless array of items sure to hit him right in the feels.

For Dad

While your main focus this holiday may be on the boyfriend, we can’t forget the guy who gave us life, the one who taught us to settle for nothing less than a true gentleman, and is always there to approve (or give the veto) to whatever guy we are dating. This year, buy him something he remembers his father and his grandfather using since he was a little boy. Mix nostalgia with an every day routine, and you’ve got a winner. Old-fashioned razors and brushes are rising in popularity. You can find them in a wide range of prices at a variety of stores, but The Art of Shaving has the widest selection. There you can splurge on an engraved razor or a whole set of shaving essentials for the gentlemen in your life.

Good luck with your holiday shopping and may the odds be ever in your favor. Find me on Twitter at @EmilyCBland to let me know what you want to hear about next!
