Gamma Phi Beta Crescent Week 2016

Every year Gamma Phi Beta at Florida State University hosts their Crescent Classic, a kickball tournament. As their annual fall philanthropy event, Crescent Classic raises funds that directly benefit Girls on the Run. Girls on the Run is an organization that Gamma Phi Beta works closely with to promote confidence and build strength within young women and girls. Girls on the Run is a non-profit organization that trains girls to run in 5K races while building self-esteem within them as well as their leadership skills.

Before their annual Crescent Classic, Gamma Phi Beta hosts Crescent Week, which is a week full of events to get everyone ready for the main event on Sunday Oct. 23.  Here’s a complete rundown of the week and what we can expect.

Monday Oct. 17:

Come out and join the ladies of Gamma Phi Beta both on Landis and outside of their house for donuts from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.! I mean who doesn’t love a good donut, especially when there are two convenient locations to grab some?

Tuesday Oct. 18:

Do you like burgers? Do you like being charitable? Then be sure to make your way to Grub Burger on Thomasville Road at some point on Oct. 18 for Gamma Phi Beta’s Share-it Day. Say you’re with Gamma Phi and a portion of the proceeds will go toward Girls on the Run.

Wednesday Oct. 19:

From 5:30 to 7 p.m. you can join Gamma Phi for mac n’ cheese at their house on Wednesday the Oct. 19.  This is the perfect time to ask the sisters of Gamma Phi Beta about the Crescent Classic and Girls on the Run while also getting some awesome food. Be sure to bring all of your mac n’ cheese loving friends!

Thursday Oct. 20:

Help spread the word about the event by coming out and getting your car chalked from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the side lot of the Gamma Phi Beta house.
