FSU Pedicabs: Your New Way Around Tallahassee

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

Her Campus FSU has found your new way to show up to Recess in! Capital City Pedicabs is a transportation business utilizing bicycle carriages that take you to all of your favorite places. They strive to provide an alternative transportation to events in a green fashion. All drivers are well-trained, licensed and knowledgeable of all things Tallahassee!

Currently, Capital City Pedicabs are event-based and weekend-driven, but they hope to expand their hours of operation as their business grows. They pedal all over Tallahassee from downtown to Gaines Street, All Saints Railroad Square and as far as Midtown. Rides can cost a minimum of five dollars plus a tip, but during bigger events the cost becomes pricier as they are in more demand.

They cover a wide-range of events from weddings to different occasions happening around Tallahassee to even FSU game days! They’re able to pedal all around campus for student accessibility, and can even pedal all the way to the entrance of dorms to ensure the safety of the students that they drop off. This goes on until about 5 a.m. or around when all of the bars close.

While Uber and other taxi services do have their own appeals, none of them are able to capture the unique experience that taking a pedicab provides. One gets to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Tallahassee instead of just spending their time cramped in a car.

This form of transportation is even available for different customizations including date nights (bike ride in the park, anyone?) where the business works with restaurants to establish the best experience for you and your special someone.
