Free Fall Movies at the Askew Student Life Center

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

When I think of fall I think of cool weather, hot cocoa, pumpkin muffins and movies. And what better to do in the fall than put off all the responsibilities of college and watch your favorite movies? Typically, I would curl up on my couch at home with a cup of cocoa and my favorite blanket and watch a marathon of horror movies. But now that I’m at FSU, I have a free movie theater two steps from my door that shows all kinds of movies ranging from horror to romantic-comedies and blockbusters to cult classics! For those of you who don’t know, the Askew Student Life Center at Florida State University puts on free movies for FSU students with a valid FSU ID. The ASLC is located right in the middle of campus, just steps away from seven different on-campus residence halls, the Traditions parking garage, and The Den. It’s one of the nation’s leading campus movie programs and shows movies selected by a student committee five or six nights a week. For me, it’s a great way to watch my favorite movies and new movies without having to drive out to a movie theater and drop twenty bucks on a movie ticket and snacks! Here’s a list of the best movies to watch in the fall that the SLC is showing the moves that the SLC is showing this fall:
