Posty Fest, a music festival hosted by rapper Post Malone, is back for round two on Nov. 2 in Arlington, Texas with a brand-new lineup. The event will feature top artists like Meek Mill, Rae Sremmurd and Jaden Smith, as well as more underground artists, such as Yella Breezy, Tyla Yaweh and Beach Fossils. This announcement comes shortly after the release of Malone’s latest album Hollywood’s Bleeding in early September. Post Malone’s eccentric branding and wild personality brings a personalized twist on the traditional music festival, leaving fans to expect the unexpected.

As new information is being released, there are a few things fans and festivalgoers can anticipate from the event. Following the same structure as the first Posty Fest in 2018 with his album Beerbongs & Bentleys, Post Malone will headline the event to promote and perform tracks from Hollywood’s Bleeding. His newest album features other well-known artists, such as Halsey, SZA and Ozzy Osbourne. Meek Mill is the only artist so far that is featured on Post Malone’s latest release that will be also be performing at Posty Fest. However, advertisements for Posty Fest include “and guests” as part of the lineup, so fans expecting to purchase tickets can anticipate that more artists will be announced. The first Posty Fest included artists such as Tyler, the Creator and Travis Scott that were featured on Beerbongs & Bentleys

The official Posty Fest website promises traditional festival activities such as “music, games, food, prizes, free stuff, *not* free stuff, and exclusive collabs,” as well as more unorthodox activities like “giant things, jousting, limited merch and guitar smashing.” The hodgepodge list of activities gives attendees the festival experience with Post Malone’s unconventional additions. Other advertisements and promotions for the Posty Fest feature the same war baby mascot, Dimitri, continuing with the edgy theme that fans may recognize from the previous year.

In its second year, Posty Fest will continue to uniquely cater to the rap and hip-hop genre and will feature a handful of DJ sets. Other popular music festivals, such as Coachella and Bonnaroo, generally tend to tailor their headliner performances to mainstream pop music listeners. However, fans are also starting to see a shift in the host of music festivals to become more of a unique experience specifically highlighting the main artist instead of multiple big-name performers. Musicians are beginning to create their own individualized festival experiences for their fans by hosting the event themselves on top of participating in large music festivals. While not the first of its kind, Posty Fest follows the same branding and energy as its namesake artist and other musicians are following suit. The Astroworld Festival, Travis Scott’s music festival that debuted in 2018, followed the artist’s stylistic preferences and personal interests in the Astroworld amusement park in Houston that his album was based on.

Tickets to the second annual Posty Fest go on presale starting Sep. 10 at 10 AM and ends Sep. 13 at 10 PM, exclusively for Citi cardmembers. The general public can begin purchasing tickets Sep. 14 at 10 AM. Prices and ticket costs start as low as $29.50.
