Disney Princesses In College: Enjoy a Fairytale Cocktail!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

When a Disney princess in college isn’t busy trying to find the perfect dress, talk to animals, or just get her homework done so she can pass a class, she may like to indulge herself with some rather tasty treats, and no, I’m not talking about poisoned apples or French loaf bread. I’m talking about alcoholic drinks, ladies (if, of course, you are of the appropriate princess age). A princess in college should be able to enjoy a beverage every once in a while because she dang right deserves one! However, how can a royal princess make sure her drink is the right mix for her? Well, luckily for us princesses in college, one man in Spokane, Washington has already solved that problem with his “Fairytale Cocktails.”

Cocktails by Cody is a Facebook page created by a mixologist who only goes by the name of “Cody,” but man, he sure can mix some alcohol. Oh, and not just any alcohol, but Disney-inspired alcoholic mixes! Awake from your slumbers and get out from under the sea because this is a serious matter. Cody has been posting these “Fairy Tale Cocktails” since early February, and his page already has over 25,000 likes. Just goes to show that when you make the Disney drinks, they will come.

When it comes to the cocktails themselves, Cody uses a variety of Disney characters, from villains to princes to (you guessed it) our cherished princesses! I’m going to show you a couple of examples of Cody’s delicious drinks (all of the pictures can be found on his page), so feel free to pick your favorite mix to try at an intimate party, a Disney-themed birthday bash, or even just to try out for yourself. (Nothing wrong with a little mixology for yourself!)

Glass Slipper (Inspired By Cinderella)

You ready to dance the night away with your prince charming only to lose your high heel in the process? Then you should try this creamy cocktail (but don’t get too crazy or you might lose the other shoe too).

Lily of the Sun (Inspired by Rapunzel from Tangled)

You’ll definitely want to hop out of your tower to try this spring-inspired drink! With some champagne, vodka, and a lily flower, I definitely had a dream about sipping this at my next party.

Porcelain Warrior (Inspired by Mulan)

Once you’re done defeating the Huns, go home and quench your fiery thirst with this spicy beverage. There is even an accompanied sidekick Mushu shot in case you want to make a toast to yourself (You know, a girl worth fighting for.)

Cold front (Inspired by Elsa from Frozen)

It is time to let it go and fix yourself up this sweet mix. If there is one thing we like better than white chocolate, peppermint, and kick-butt female leads…it’s when they are all combined in a great-tasting cocktail.

There are definitely more wonderful drink mixes to enjoy, so this princess recommends visiting Cocktails by Cody’s Facebook page and exploring whole new drink worlds! Just remember to drink responsibly, rule fairly, and enjoy your life tremendously!
