Unless you’ve been living under a rock or locked out of your parents’ Hulu account, you’ve likely heard something about at least one member of #MomTok. Whether it’s Taylor Frankie Paul being named as the next Bachelorette or Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck (no, not that Affleck) debuting on Dancing with the Stars, these women have been making quite a name for themselves.

Since its inaugural season, released on Sep. 6, 2024, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives (TSLOMW) has taken over the lives of reality television junkies and the chronically online alike. While one would think that the show would be a wholesome source of entertainment, it’s anything but.

TSLOMW revolves around a group of Mormon mothers who live in Utah and have cultivated an online brand through TikTok. The vast majority of their online content, besides the various brand deals that come with influencer territory, centers around their identities as mothers. The show, on the other hand? That’s another matter entirely.

The third season of TSLOMW was released on Nov. 13. Talk about a tight turnaround! In fact, the cast was filming Season 3 before the second season had even been released. All 10 episodes were uploaded at once, which is ideal for binge-watchers like myself, and the drama started right out of the gate.

Episode 1, “The Book of Doubt,” begins with cast member Jessi Ngatikaura confessing to an emotional affair with the Lead Server in Vanderpump Villa, Marciano Brunette, following a TSLOMW cast trip to the hotel. This scandal rocks the group to its core, and Ngatikaura and her husband, Jordan, soon separate.

The depth of Brunette and Ngatikaura’s affair is one of the focal points of the season, especially when considering that another cast member, Demi Engemann, may have been involved. Road trips and polygraph tests ensue.

However, by the end of the final episode of the season, “The Book of Enlightenment,” the women seem to have decided to put the matter to rest, without truly getting to the bottom of it. I’m sure that won’t come back to bite anyone later.

The season also welcomes the return of Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck and follows their respective journeys to being cast on DWTS. While initially celebrating together when they found out the good news at the Season 2 reunion, the pair now seem to be butting heads.

Before being cast as the next Bachelorette, Taylor Frankie Paul’s rocky relationship with her ex-partner and co-parent, Dakota Mortensen, undergoes a jarring series of ups and downs. She resolves to completely sever ties with the man, except for caring for their child. This narrative arc on TSLOMW seems to have perfectly primed her for this next contract. I, for one, will definitely be tuning in.

Speaking of tuning in, the season three reunion special for TSLOMW has been announced!

It premieres on Dec. 4 and will be available to stream through Hulu. The part that I’m most looking forward to, though? That would have to be that Stassi Schroeder, Vanderpump Rules and Vanderpump Villa alumna, will be hosting the reunion! I absolutely can’t wait to see how she handles this. I can already tell this special will be explosive. In fact, my friend and I are already working on our bingo cards.
