Complete List of the 2022 Emmy Award Winners

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

The 74th Emmy Awards honored the best television had to offer on Monday night. Live from Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theater, stars flaunted their best looks on the red carpet as they made their way to the ceremony. Host Kenan Thompson, Saturday Night Live star, was joined by presenting A-listers Kelly Clarkson, Selena Gomez and more. The night was full of surprise wins and triumphs, particularly from HBO.

The HBO drama, Succession, was up for the most awards, coming in with 25 nominations. The other two front runners this year were Ted Lasso and The White Lotus, both with 20 nominations.

The White Lotus dominated with five wins, picking up the titles of Best Limited Series, Supporting Actor (Murray Bartlett), Supporting Actress (Jennifer Coolidge), Writing (Mike White) and Directing (Mike White). Ted Lasso ended with four wins overall and Succession with three.

However, while the top dogs this year did well, we had several surprise wins, like Sheryl Lee Ralph snagging Best Supporting Actress for comedy show Abbott Elementary. The actress made history as she became the second Black actress to win this category. Ralph continued to be the talk of the night as she sang out her acceptance speech beautifully. Zendaya took home Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Rue in Euphoria, making her the youngest-ever two-time winner in Emmys history. Joining the list of winners is Lizzo, who had an emotional win for her Outstanding Competition Series, which also puts her halfway to EGOT.

The prestigious award ceremony was without a doubt a major HBO win. Along with the awards, the evening proved to be a major historical event as well as a powerful show of diversity in the film industry. The full list of winners from the 2022 Emmys are seen as the following:
