Going out on a Friday night for most college students usually means finding rides to clubs like Coliseum, Bajas or the Strip. How perfect would it be if there was an alternative for people for don’t enjoy that scene? Well there is answer in the form of College Town. This new hub includes a variety of shops that just opened this fall. There is a new hotspot in town for a classier environment for socializing in a better atmosphere – and it just so happens to be extremely close to campus!
Madison Social is a restaurant and bar located in College Town on South Woodward Avenue. This up and coming place is right next to the Pensacola parking lot and Doak Campbell stadium. The location is ideal for students who want to ditch the usual crowded places on West Tennessee during the week.
The food that is offered caters to a variety of palates. From inexpensive hummus dip appetizers to their signature Madso Burger, all of your friends can find something to munch on. Â The presentation is also a delightful change up from fast food that college students are accustomed to.
The endless variety of drinks also makes Madison Social a great place to try out new cocktails. For happy hour from 4-7 there is $5 Beer, $4 wines, and $2 domestic draughts.
The combination of indoor seating and outdoor picnic tables makes the restaurant unique. Choosing where to sit is not a tough choice when the open views give you amazing things to see from all angles. There is plethora of televisions and high top tables in addition to cozy booths in the back for a private party. The warm yellow lighting also makes the atmosphere more comfortable, and the layout makes it easy to float from one section of the restaurant to another. Â
The staff is also extremely patient and kind, dressed in classic black t-shirts and warm smiles. They give you plenty of time to decide on what to eat and answer all of your questions.
The restaurant also has been a hotspot for student events. There was a PINK Nation event for Victoria Secret where they gave out freebies and information about the latest trends for the fall. The fashion organization Diverse World Fashion also made use of the amazing venue and hosted a website release party in September. It truly makes for a great way to spread the word about your organization and have a fun time doing so! They also book private parties and birthday events, which is also a great way to create fun memories with your friends.
The atmosphere is also perfect for game days! The location is so close to the stadium that you can hear the game yet you are not caught up in the chaos that sometimes occurs. Last weekend there was a great turn out for the FSU vs. Maryland game. People showed off their garnet and gold all day long.
Madison Social is located at 705 South Woodward Avenue Tallahassee, FL 32304 and is open from 11:00 until 2:00 every day!Â
