International Women’s Day is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate than with articles of clothing. The Chinti and Parker sweater line teamed up with the non-profit organization, Women for Women International, to create sweaters that celebrate International Women’s Day on Mar. 8, 2018 and to celebrate female empowerment. Woman to Woman International non-profit organization gives opportunities to women and provides them a “safe space to learn life, business, and vocational skills” as their about section states. These opportunities allow women to be stronger and to learn about their rights as women and human beings in general. Therefore, these sweaters created by Chinti and Parker are wonderfully empowering because they celebrate femininity.
Chinti and Parker make the cutest graphic sweaters that have witty slogans that make women feel empowered in general, but these sweaters are sweaters you do not want to miss out on. Some of the sweaters have the Venus symbol spread throughout the sweater and there are other sweaters that say that “I am a woman, a daughter, a mother, a sister”. These sweaters are celebrating womanhood to its fullest extent!

Also, when women purchase a Chinti and Parker sweater all the proceeds go to the Woman to Woman international organization to aid in the teaching of young women to prepare them for the real world, especially those in war-torn countries.

International Woman’s Day is a day where we can celebrate women and all the progress made by women in the past, the progress we’ve made in the past, and the progress we are going to make in the future. Similar to many minorities, women face entrenched prejudice within society. Therefore, it is important to have a day where it is just about women and their fight to make people understand them.
Buying these sweaters gives a young lady an opportunity to better herself as a woman. Also, these sweaters are rather empowering, therefore, buying one not only empowers the person wearing it but it also empowers women internationally.
As young college women, it is important to empower each other continuously! So, even if one does not buy a sweater it is possible to support the Women for Women organization to give young girls a better tomorrow.
