Her Campus (HC): What do your hobbies include?
Skyler DaSilva (SD): I love sports, especially football, basketball, baseball, and college sports. I also love music!
HC: Where do you see yourself after graduating from FSU?
SD: Looking for a job, maybe [trying] an entry-level government position in a planning department.
HC: Do your goals and/or dreams differ from when you were a kid?
SD: As far as occupational, yes. I guess I never knew what I wanted to do. I still don’t know what I want to do. All the same, I want to be successful and not worry about money. I don’t care about money as much as I used to. I just need to do something I enjoy or I’m going to lose it.
HC: Tell me more about your musical attributes.
SD: I like to play the guitar and piano, as well as sing. I was in a band called Casual Sam. We had a couple of gigs at Red Rocks and Potbelly’s for a battle of the bands — it was really unorganized and we were the only band there but we still played. It was awesome.
HC: What was the idea behind your tattoo?
SD: It’s a bald eagle. It’s patriotic and I knew it was something [for which I would have] a passion for the rest of my life. I love my country.
HC: Do you enjoy being in a fraternity?
SD: I am a senior in AEPi (Alpha Epsilon Pi). My pledge class helped shape the fraternity [and has moved] it in a new direction. AEPi would not be where it is if not for us. I like being in a fraternity because I like meeting people and socializing.
HC: What is your idea of a good first date?
SD: My idea of a perfect date would be to walk around in the park looking at lights during seasonal festivities. Maybe we would even go to some bars at the beach and have a chill night.
HC: Have you ever had a really embarrassing date?
SD: I haven’t been on many dates, so I don’t think so. I embarrass myself all the time though.
HC: Who is your celebrity crush(es)?
SD: Right now? Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman: all very pretty.
HC: If you had three wishes from a genie, what would they be?
SD: To have a career I really enjoy and to be very successful. Second, to have a son that is a professional athlete — that’d be pretty bada**. And third, that my family is never burdened with sickness.
HC: Cats or dogs?
SD: Dogs.
HC: What’s your favorite go-to snack?
SD: Movie theater-style popcorn. Classic.
HC: How would you want people to remember you when you’re gone?
SD: I would like to have made a positive impact on everyone I’ve come across and that they have learned things from me.
