As exam season approaches and deadlines get closer, students are searching for new study spots and ways to stay fueled. If you’re not a coffee drinker but are still looking for a place to grab a drink and get some work done, here are five unique drink spots to try!

HTEao

HTeaO is a Tallahassee tea shop that allows customers to create their own blends of different flavored teas. Originating in Texas, HTeaO offers a wide variety of tea flavors, providing customers with endless combination possibilities.

If you aren’t looking for coffee but still need a caffeine boost, HTeaO offers caffeinated tea options that can be added to your drink. Additionally, it provides a list of Secret Menu concoctions if you want to try out a popular flavor combination.

Although there are no seating options inside the store, the drive-through is a great way to grab a quick drink before class or a study session. HTeaO is one of the most unique drink spots in Tallahassee and is a must-visit if you like tea.

playa bowls

Although Playa Bowls is mainly known for its açai bowls, its menu also offers a wide variety of drink options. Its mission is to be eco-friendly and to provide its customers with food that’s healthy and sustainable.

Located just off campus in College Town, Playa Bowls serves smoothies and organic juices. The smoothies range in flavors from fruity to green, and the healthy juices can help provide you with a shot of energy.

Additionally, the store serves as a perfect study space with both indoor and outdoor seating. Whether you’re looking for a place to eat a quick lunch or grab a delicious smoothie, Playa Bowls can serve any of your needs.

natural kitchen

Like Playa Bowls, Natural Kitchen offers a wide variety of food items as well as a large number of signature drinks. Known for its bubble tea, Natural Kitchen offers an array of unique drinks such as milkshakes, smoothies, and ice cream drinks.

With two locations in Tallahassee, Natural Kitchen is the perfect place to visit if you want to try something new or pick up a poke bowl with your drink. Both restaurants offer indoor seating, and the College Town location offers outdoor patio seating. If you’re looking for a place to study with friends, Natural Kitchen is the perfect choice, as its varied menu is sure to have something for everyone.

The Frother’s daughter

Although it primarily serves coffee-related drinks, The Frother’s Daughter also offers a variety of specialty drinks outside that category. With new specials every few weeks, The Frother’s Daughter is constantly introducing new drinks, ranging from lemonades and teas to butterbeer.

Its trailer is always rolling throughout Tallahassee, and you can find a list of its various locations for the week on its Instagram. If you ever stumble upon their coffee truck in the wild, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to find a drink that suits your taste. Although the trailer is mobile, they also have a physical storefront in Midtown that offers seating options if you’re in search of a place to study.

Kwench Juice Cafe

Kwench is a Tallahassee juice shop that sells fresh juices, smoothies, açai bowls, and boba. Located further from campus than the other spots on the list, Kwench’s menu makes up for the distance by providing customers with endless healthy meal and drink options.

If you require a quick boost of energy, its fresh juices are the perfect affordable drink for you. Additionally, Kwench has an assortment of nourishing snack food items that are perfect for keeping you going during a study session. The café has indoor seating and is a great place to meet friends for a group study session.

Next time you’re struggling to focus on studying, try out one of these unique locations and grab a quick drink to help fuel your brain!
