If you want to attend a football game as an FSU student, you’re in luck! You can easily request a free student ticket to our home games and experience the energy. On the Monday before the game, you’ll receive an email in your school Outlook account from Florida State Athletics. Simply click the link that says “Log in and Complete Your Request Here,” sign in to your FSU account, and check out with your request!
Ticket windows close the next day at 12 p.m. sharp, so be sure to request within 24 hours! You’ll receive an email the following day notifying you if you’ve been selected for a student ticket, which you can download to your phone’s mobile wallet.
Whether or not you were able to secure a ticket, here’s everything you need to know about FSU football!
Ticket Transfers and Game Day Guidelines
If you were unlucky and didn’t receive a ticket, fear not! This year, FSU has opened up student ticket transfers. If you find someone willing to transfer their ticket to you, they just have to log in to their Seminoles account that holds the ticket, find the transfer ticket button, and enter your name and contact information.
**Note that the resale of student tickets is strictly prohibited under FSU guidelines.**
If you’re lucky enough to have gotten a ticket, get excited for the day that awaits you. With various activities to do before the game, it’s impossible to be bored on game day. Whether you choose to visit CollegeTown, hang out with friends, or stay inside before the game, eventually you’ll find yourself at Doak Campbell Stadium!
With student tickets downloaded and in hand, you’ll want to make your way over to the nearest gate, given that it isn’t Gate C or the Dunlap Champions Club entrance. Be sure to have a clear bag or a bag smaller than 4.5 x 6.5 inches, or you might be turned away at security! Once inside, your student ticket will be checked at seating entrances for the student section near the north end zone, and you can find section numbers on your mobile ticket. Enjoy pre-game performances from the band, and witness the iconic spear plant just before kickoff.
What to Expect this Season
If you haven’t yet experienced an FSU football game, you still have time this season! With a few home games remaining, you can expect to see us play a few Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) teams, in addition to a Sunshine State rivalry game (FSU vs. UF) to close out the season.
On Oct. 3, you can expect a rematch against Virginia for a cancer awareness specialty game. If you have time, you can also catch the Halloween game against Clemson, which is also a military appreciation game. Our homecoming game is against NC State University on Nov. 21, with the season closer against Florida less than a week later on Nov. 27.
Players and Our Future
Now that you know everything you need to know about getting tickets and getting to your seats, let’s address the elephant in the room: FSU football doesn’t exactly have the best reputation at the moment, with a five-win, seven-loss overall record in 2025. Despite our current 2026 season record of 2-2, and having watched all of this season’s games thus far, I’m feeling cautiously optimistic.
We have a new fifth-year transfer quarterback, Ashton Daniels, who’s coming from a year at Auburn and three previous years at Stanford, and he’s showing some promise. Disregarding the devastating loss at Alabama on Sept. 19, when FSU fell 36-50 to the Crimson Tide, Daniels made a few great plays that give me a glimmer of hope for this season.
In addition to Daniels, standout players that will give us a fighting chance include offensive players such as running back No. 32, Ousmane Kromah, and wide receiver No. 0, Duce Robinson. Additionally, defensive line player No. 3, Mandrell Desir, assists in the restoration of my faith in Tony White’s defensive line.
With all of this information in mind, I can confidently say you’re sure to have a fun day without any stress leading up to kickoff. After kickoff, though, I can’t promise anything from our team.
Regardless, game days are always a blast, and there’s plenty of do around Tallahassee whether or not you’re in Doak!
