Calvin’s Coffee House is a little known spot on FSU’s campus. Tucked away on the corner of Copeland and Park, many students pass by this undiscovered gem on their way up the hill to Dunkin Donuts or Westcott. However, Calvin’s could be the Central Perk of Florida State! They offer great coffee from friendly baristas and even have a bunch of big, comfy couches that Ross and Rachel would surely approve of.
Calvin’s menu has a lot to offer. Besides decadent cappuccinos, they also have chai lattes, tea and donuts! Their Instagram even features a day where they gave out free drip coffee. Yum!
What sets Calvin’s apart is its atmosphere. It is the perfect quiet spot to study during the day – and the free wifi is a plus. Even if you just need to take a nap on their couches, Calvin’s is there for you. However, if your situation differs and classes are getting too stressful and you just can’t sit still, I’m sure the other patrons wouldn’t mind if your inner Phoebe came out and you climbed up on the little stage and belted out your own version of “Smelly Cat.”
Calvin’s is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Fridays and is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
