Breast Cancer Awareness month is a very special month for those who have family, friends, and partners with breast cancer or simply a kind heart.
Multiple places in Tallahassee will be hosting events such as lemonade stands, baked goods and a good time around the city covered in pink for the support of a great cause.

Furthermore, for the #GoPinkLemonade Challenge, the City of Tallahassee started showing its support since yesterday and it will continue until Oct. 8. Some of City Hall’s most popular sites will be decorated with pink illustrations. The city’s water tower near I-10 will be pink and the canopy of the Capital City Amphitheater in Cascades Park will be pink all month long excluding Oct. 2, 3 and 4.
Here are some more Breast Cancer Awareness events this month that strive to promote awareness, fun and sustainability:
- There will be pink recycling bins in public places, at Kleman Plaza and C.K. Steel Plaza throughout the month.
- On Oct. 9 there will be a Par 3 Golf Tournament at Hilaman Golf Course, located at 2737 Blair Stone Road
- The city’s social media accounts will display pink graphics
- There will be a pink message board on the city’s TV station, WCOT (Comcast and CenturyLink channel 13).

Going Pink to Raise Awareness for Breast Cancer
The Tallahassee Democrat informs us about Allegro’s efforts as a part of a month-long awareness campaign where residents and businesses go pink. This Thursday, the Tallahassee Democrat will be printed on pink paper and businesses around Tallahassee will #GoPinkLemonade, hosting stands and events around town.

Allegro Senior Living is on board with promoting and supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month. Annually, they organize “share-it” nights every night during the month of October at different restaurants around town, where 10 percent of all proceeds that night go to benefit the Cancer Center at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
