All the Tally Concerts You Need to Buy Tickets for Right Now

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

Homecoming has been over for a while now, and we are still crying ugly tears from the memory of when Chance the Rapper first came on stage to serenade us. The hype of that event has passed as well as the gossip over how incredible of performance he gave. Even the Doak After Dark event featuring Old Dominion and Tyler Farr is over as well.  Has Florida State run out of famous people at which to stare and scream? No! A few more big-name concerts are coming to Tallahassee in the next three months!

The first concert features Jennifer Nettles on Friday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. She is mainly known as the lead singer in the country band Sugarland with popular songs including “Stuck Like Glue” and “Stay”, a song she has won a total of four awards for including a Grammy for Best Country Song. She has hosted CMA Country Christmas several times and has agreed to host it again this year. Directly after, she is coming to the Tallahassee Pavilion on North Monroe. Tickets are still available and range from $39-$80.

The second concert, conveniently the next day and in the exact same place, will include a variety of artists. The line-up consists of Salt-N-Pepa, one of the first all-female rap groups who are known for classic songs like “Shoop” and “Push It.” DJ Spinderella, another member of Salt-N-Pepa, will also make an appearance. Other featured artists at the concert include Kid ‘N Play, Color Me Badd, Coolio and Tone-Lōc. Tickets continue to be sold at varying prices from $35-$70.

The final and probably largest concert to come to Tallahassee in these next few months is none other than country band Florida Georgia Line. They are known for their most popular song “Cruise,” which gave them three awards and was then later remixed with a featured rap from Wiz Khalifa and ultimately launched their status as a recognizable country band in the 2010s. Openers include country singers Dustin Lynch and Chris Lane. The day of their concert is Jan. 27 to be set at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. Tickets just went on sale last Friday with prices from $48-$73 not including any package VIP deals.

So, while it initially seemed there was not going to be much of anything in terms of big-name concerts happening in Tallahassee, come the beginning of December, all of that will change. Skip buying groceries for a week or two, and live off of that old bag of rice in your pantry to start saving up for these concerts!
