With the fall semester well on its way, adjusting to life with new roommates can be difficult. If you do not already know your roommates and need some help getting to know one another, here are some easy ways to turn your roommates into your best friends:

1. Meal Planning

Planning out what to eat for the week is an easy way to get to know your roommates. Sharing meals also makes grocery shopping cheaper and easier. Bonus bonding experience: going to Publix with each other will also give you extra chatting time to get acquainted with one another.

2. Running Errands

Taking trips to get everyday essentials with your roommates is another awesome way to get to know one another. Spending quality time in the aisles of Target can definitely be a fun and exciting experience.

3. Crafting

Put on some music, grab your paints and start bonding! Whether it’s painting canvases for your wall or decorating a monogram for your door, this will definitely help you all get a little closer.

4. Workout Together

Go to the gym in your complex or sign up for a class at the Leach. Friends who sweat together, stay together!

5. Movie Night

Order in some pizza and settle in for a night full of rom-coms. Nothing says friendship like snacks and some cheesiness!

6. Football Games

Football season is underway, so what is a better way to hangout with your roommates than tailgates?

7. Day trip

Pack up the car, go get some “pub subs” and head to St. George’s beach or even the Rez.

8. Studying together

This one may not sound very fun, but it is effective. Spending late nights in Stroz with your roommates can be a good way to suffer together while working on papers.
