8 Fall Styles, Brought to You by Rachel Green From ‘Friends’

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

It’s time to break out your favorite comfy sweater because fall is finally upon us! From football and pumpkin spice lattes to Halloween and Thanksgiving, fall is without a doubt one of the best seasons ever. Plus, we finally get the one thing we’ve all been waiting for—cooler weather. Say goodbye to your favorite crop tops and high-waisted shorts and say hello to sweater weather, knee-high boots and lots and lots of flannel. Although the sunshine state is always ten steps behind with the cold weather change, we still love to dress up for the season even when the temperature only drops to 70 degrees, and who better to get style advice than from Friends’ Rachel Green? Known for her iconic outfits, this 90s TV queen’s style is one that we all envy to this day. So, if you’re struggling in putting together the perfect outfit for a cool, fall day, here’s a little inspiration from our forever style icon.

She even pulls off a sleeveless turtleneck sweater. Our only question: How???

5. Slip Dress Over a Long-Sleeved Shirt

Cooler weather doesn’t stop us Floridians from wearing our favorite slip dress. Pair it with a long-sleeved tee like Rachel does and you’ll be good to go when that cool breeze comes blowing your way!

6. Warm Colors

Elle recently announced that red is the “it” color for fall. However, for some of us, this color might be a little too bold for our taste. Instead of flashy reds, opt for warmer, autumn colors like burgundy or maroon.

7. Fall Coat

We may not need to break them out yet, but having the perfect fall coat that can also be used for winter is a must.

8. Lace-Up Tops

Just because it’s fall doesn’t mean that our “going out” outfits have to totally change. Lace-up tops are a trend that has definitely come back in style, and a long-sleeved version will be perfect for going out during those cool, fall nights.
