5 No-Bake Treats That Will Make You Rethink That Thanksgiving Pie

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

There is nothing sweeter than having all your loved ones gathered around the table, thankful for each other and enjoying every moment of it. Besides the turkey, the most important part of every Thanksgiving meal is, dessert! But how do you get into that Thanksgiving feast mood when you’re stuck in your kitchen-less dorm? Luckily, this time you don’t have to come empty-handed. I have chosen a few of my favorite no-bake holiday desserts that you could whip up. Let’s start with the ultimate Fall ingredient, something pumpkin.

1. No-Bake Pumpkin Cheesecake Mini Trifles

This fancy-looking dessert is one that will make your taste buds tingle for all the right reasons, this dessert is called a pumpkin mini cheesecake trifles. This cheesecake trifle is one that I can compare to the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino from Starbucks. It has that delicious aroma of pumpkin and the sweet coolness of cream. Play some holiday music while prepping this dessert because it will make the process go quickly and it gives you a chance to learn the lyrics of your new jam.

Moment of truth, I used to hate pumpkin. Horrifying, right? Thankfully, I can’t get enough of it now.

2. No-Bake Pumpkin Truffles

Pumpkin Truffles is a tasty treat that will have everyone asking for more and the recipe. This truffle is like the Oreo truffle but with more holiday taste to it, but if you prefer the Oreo truffle then I would say go for it. Although, I would recommend making more than you think you’d need, plus you can always save leftovers in the fridge.

3. No-Bake Strawberry Icebox Cheesecake

One traditional piece of dessert that never lets us down is cheesecake. The no-bake icebox cheesecake is one to try, especially if you enjoy strawberries. This dessert is one that keeps the family around asking about each other’s accomplishments and goals, it’s a piece of home whipped into a slice. It takes about 20 minutes to prep and a few minutes to devour.

4. No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Layered Fudge

Whoever thought about fudge and peanut butter together has all my admiration. The chocolate peanut butter layered fudge is a treat that will leave you satisfied and perhaps not wanting chocolate for a few days. This dessert is one that will take a few hours to prep, mostly allowing it to freeze. Maybe your grandma or older family member wouldn’t even think about taking a bite, but your little cousins will see you as the chef of the family.

5. No-Bake Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Cream Pie

The last dessert that I would recommend trying is the Reese Banana Cream Pie, this pie smells delicious and serves about ten people. It is one of my favorites to prep because it takes a few minutes and eating the leftover candy is always a plus. This creamy pie is one that will have your mom asking what cooking class you’re taking.

As college students finding a dessert to bring to the table is one thing we shouldn’t be stressing about. Consider these treat ideas before buying something expensive. So, grab your favorite apron and start experimenting.
