5 Makeup Looks to Try, Because Why Not?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

Every passing day feels like another news update. I’ve been doing my best to keep myself distracted but spending hours on my laptop doesn’t seem like the healthiest thing to do. A lot of people don’t want to use their makeup during quarantine but right now is the best time! Instead of moping around wondering when is the next time you’ll be getting ready for a night out with the girls start practicing your skills. If you’re looking for some makeup inspiration, then you’re in the right place. Here are 5 fun and creative makeup looks to try out, who knows they might be your next go-to look!

1. Cut-Crease

A cut-crease is absolutely classic though it’s not the most user friendly… I’ve been trying to perfect the perfect cut-crease since junior year in high school and guess what? I’m a junior in college and still haven’t! Right now is the perfect time to master the effortlessly chic look of a cut-crease.

2. Monochrome

I personally LOVE monochromatic looks! They are so simple yet make you look put together. Every time I see someone match their eyes shadow to their fit I just know their life is together. Whether it’s something fun like red or something neutral like brown, monochrome looks are for everyone and really take no time to do. This is not only the easiest look to recreate in the list but also the most budget-friendly look to master because all it requires is one color!

3. Pop of Color

I love a pop of color! A pop of color comes in all shapes and sizes from intense graphic liner to a simple inner corner shimmer. Kylie Jenner revolutionized this trend back in 2018 by putting pink shadow in her inner corner. It’s the perfect time to get out of your comfort zone and to experiment with color!

4. Effortlessly Simple

What more can I say? An effortlessly simple look will never go out of style. A no-makeup makeup look is gorgeous and makes you look well put together. My favorite trend at the moment is a natural look paired with falsies. I’m still learning what falsies look good on me so I’ve been taking this quarantine to work on my inner baddie.

5. GEMS GEMS GEMS

Euphoria really did something when they decided to put gems on every makeup look. If you have not bought gems you need to. This is sign go on Amazon and order yourself some now! There is nothing more fun than putting gems all over your face and becoming a disco ball. Gems are so fun and easy to take off plus they always look like you’re trying way harder than you actually are! This is the perfect time to create some fun looks with gems and even simple ones like making your gems looking like eyeliner.

It’s easy to lose track of time with everything going on, especially if you don’t have much to do. I hope these five makeup looks inspire you to brush up on your skills or try something new!
