1. You laugh at how young and naïve the freshman are even though that was you just a few months ago.
We’ve all laughed at some freshman’s inexperienced mistakes, but most of us won’t be the first to admit we’ve been guilty of one or two of those same mistakes.
2. You realize that people weren’t lying about the parking situation on campus. Seriously.
3. You can no longer wake up at 9:15 a.m. for your 9:30 a.m. class.
But that extra 25 minutes of sleep was SO necessary.
4. You actually have to learn how to cook.
As much as we all complained about it, there was something to appreciate about having the dining halls with prepared food just steps away.
5. Going out every night of the week doesn’t sound as appealing as it did just one year ago.
I guess that’s why they call it the “sophomore slump.”
6. But when you are tied up with exams and assignments, the FOMO kicks in.
7. You have to start thinking about applying to your major.
Wait a second, wasn’t it just freshman move-in day… and now we’re choosing majors??
8. Your life has become a balancing act.
Between classes, work and extracurricular activities, if you have successfully gotten something done, you more than likely have something else to do.
9. You can’t use the, “But I’m only a freshman,” excuse anymore.
You’re a big kid now and you probably can’t make anyone sympathize for you anymore.
10. You secretly wish you could start your freshman year all over again.
Well maybe not all of it, but definitely some of the best moments.
