What I Would Say

If I was a teacher, I would say you were the easiest math question to solve, after searching for the answer online.

If I was a magician, I would say you were my favorite trick to perform because I was told how to do in the 3rd grade.

If I was a bird, I would say you were the tallest tree I every perched on because I’ve only ever landed on you.

If I was bee, I would say you were the best smelling rose I ever landed on, even though you’re my first rose of the day.

If you were a drug, I would say I was a recovering drug addict, and then I’d snort you.

If you were a soda, I would say I only drink water, and ask for Pellegrino.

If you were wet leaves, I would say I was a tree, and grow you again.

If you were a moth, I would say all lights off, and keep a candle lit.

If we were honest, I would say that I barely know you.

If we were in love I would say, for how long?

If we were in a movie, I would say there is no sequel.

If I keep thinking about us, I would say that, I may care.

If I was 3 years younger, I would say this was easy.

It’s difficult to know what I would say if someone asked, what’s going on?

I would probably say, that you were the moon and I was the sun, and that we wait patiently for the eclipse.
