Places to Check Out While Visiting Ireland

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Framingham chapter.

The Rolling Donut

These are the best donuts I have ever had in my entire life. It kicked off our trip it Dublin right! I highly suggest trying one of their donut if you ever visit the city.

Trinity College Library

In the Trinity College Library you can see and learn the Book of Kells. They have a beautiful library, which is cool to see!

Temple Bar

We learned that Temple Bar is a very touristy bar. It gets very busy, but is still a must see when in Dublin. Plus, it looks beautiful at night!

Kilmainham Jail Museum

It was really cool to stop by this museum and learn all the history behind it. If  you like hearing about old history stories this is a great historical stop on your visit!

Guinness Storehouse

The Guinness Storehouse is a must see when in Dublin! You get to go through and learn about making Guinness, try some tasting, and even learn how to be a professional Guinness pourer!

Dublin Castle

Dublin Castle is a beautiful view to stop at while exploring the city!

St. Stephen’s Green

St. Stephan’s Green is a gorgeous park that is great to sit in and enjoy some gelato on a sunny day! It also makes for beautiful photos!

O’Sullivans Pub

We checked out O’Sullivans and it was a great little bar! And if you visit you can look for the dollar we signed and hung up on their wall! If you have a dollar you can even add your own!

Newgrange

Newgrange had beautiful views of the land in Ireland. You also can great views of all the sheep from here too!

Dark Hedges

Dark Hedges were pretty cool to see! If you are a Game of Thrones fan these trees were featured in the show, so make sure you stop by to take a look!

Old Bushmills Distillery

We had the chance to take a tour through Old Bushmills Distillery where we learned all about the process of making whiskey. It was very interesting, plus they give you a free drink at the end!

Giant’s Causeway

Giant’s Causeway was beautiful and has some interesting stories behind it. Unfortunately, the day we went was a little rainy, but no matter the weather it was an incredible experience, which I highly suggest to anyone traveling to Ireland!
