How are you involved on campus?

I’m an RA, I’m the Vice President of MISS, I’m a RAMMS peer mentor, I’m the bottom line ambassador for Framingham State, I’m in the common reading book committee and I’m a member of BSU.

How has your experience as an RA been?

It’s been really good, I think I’ve grown a lot. I’ve worked on my communication skills. I’ve met a lot of people I wouldn’t normally talk to. It has helped my organization skills. I feel like I’m respected on campus, which is really cool, people know my name. I want to be a psychologist so it’s helping with those skills.

Why did you want to be an RA?

I wanted to be an RA during my sophomore year, but I didn’t go for it because I doubted myself. So, I took the year to build my resume and I put myself out there. I wasn’t really involved on campus. I wanted to leave a legacy or something behind.

What’s your favorite part about being an RA?

I like making the hall lively and decorating it. I feel like it looks very plain, so I like to decorate it to make it look better. I also like doing passive programs and giving people notes under their doors to make them feel like they are cared for.

What’s your involvement in MISS?

I’m the Vice President. I handle all community outreach, like collaborating with clubs or finding people to come talk with us. I am the resource person.

What are some of your other hobbies/ interests?

I make jewelry. I’m a big family person, my niece and nephews are my life. I like to be with my friends, girl talk and girl time. And I love shopping.

What was your dream job when you were younger, what is your dream job now and if they’ve changed, why have they changed?

When I was younger I wanted to be a dancer, which has change a lot, I’ve never taken a dance class in my life. Then as I grew up, I wanted to be a lawyer, because my Dad is a lawyer. Now I want to be a psychologist, because I want to help people. I want to give people alternative treatments to help with their illnesses.

What is one thing you wish people knew more about you?

I’m an open book. I’m a very transparent person, but I feel like I’m a good person. I try to see the good in everyone and try to help them the best I can.

What’s your favorite part about Framingham State?

The opportunities there are to get involved. I like the fact they give a lot of jobs to students. I like how they find a ways to get you to stay on campus instead of going out on your own to find them off campus.
