Go Backstage with Macy’s

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Framingham chapter.

Last Saturday I had the privilege of attending Macy’s Backstage grand opening! I was given a $100 to shop around and see what cool finds I could pick up! Here’s a little background on what Macy’s Backstage is:

Macy’s Backstage offers fashion-loving customers another way to shop at their favorite store by providing a store-within-store shopping experience featuring significant savings on fabulous finds. The new outlet store will have approximately 18,600 sq ft of dedicated retail space and will live on the first level inside the full-line Macy’s. “Our customers are excited about the Macy’s Backstage shopping experience,” said Michelle Israel, Macy’s Senior Vice President of Off Price, “Macy’s Backstage Solomon Pond was designed to bring great deals and the fun of the hunt into our existing Marlborough location. If you’re looking for a fashion update, a last-minute gift, or a special treat for yourself, your home or your pet, we have you covered.  Backstage’s focus on value and newness guarantees that with each visit, shoppers will find an amazingly-priced assortment of recognizable brands and trends.  Frequent deliveries ensure there is always a new reason to come in and shop.”

Macy’s Backstage is located within the regular Macy’s, so it’s easy to find within Soloman Pond Mall. It’s set up similar to a TJMaxx, where it’s a hunt for great finds and amazing deals. It is such a fun time for everyone to stop together, because there are many different sections including juniors, plus and homewares. Here are all of the pieces I found for just over $100:

This super cute and comfy Tommy Hilfiger Sport crewneck for $19.99 instead of $59.00.

A really sweet and classic navy sweater with embroidered flower bunches on it by Premise for $19.99 that was originally $78.00.

A beautiful embroidered dress by Chelsea & Theodore for $29.99 that originally sold for $98.

And last, but not least… this JUMPSUIT! It does look like a maxi dress, but once I grabbed it off the rack, because I loved the pattern, I then loved it more when I realized it was a jumpsuit. I paid $34.99 for a piece that is worth $64.

Thank you so much to Macy’s for this fun opportunity to find some great additions to my wardrobe! To have your own Macy’s Backstage shopping experience you can head to Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
