Danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil are probably two of the most popular British YouTubers out there. Dan and Phil are two males in their 20’s that make all sorts of videos: such as “Day in the Life” videos and random rants about why Dan’s a fail or “things Phil thought were true but aren’t.” They’ve been on YouTube for years now; Phil a few years longer than Dan, but they live together and have daily shenanigans that we get to see in their videos. They have a gaming channel, appropriately called DANANDPHILGAMES, and they even have their own radio show on BBC Radio 1. They’re hilarious and quirky, and if you haven’t seen either of their YouTube channels, you definitely need to (plus those English accents are to DIE FOR)

So IMAGINE the excitement when they announced (in an epic video btw) that they were releasing a book, I fangirled EVERYWHERE. We’ve been waiting for this book since they put the video out back in March, and we were so excited when it finally came in the mail. They posted a video about the process of making the book the day the book came out, and it hinted at a few things, which will be mentioned.

So here are 34 thoughts we had while first getting and reading the book:

**SPOILER WARNING**

1.      It’s SO PRETTY. The cover is so shiny and THEY’RE SO ADORABLE STOOOOP

2.      The pages aren’t matte? THEY SAID THEY CHOSE THE MATTE PAGES. It’s okay I’m over it.

3.      THEIR FACES ARE ON THE INSIDE COVER and wow their EYES.

4.      Cover page is a collage of random things relating to Dan and Phil. Including things like that crazy clay mask thing that Dan hates, and random photos of themselves and a rubber duck and WHAT IS THIS.

5.      The photo of them on their phones though.

6.      I like that they use different colors for who’s talking.

7.      Leather and a patterned shirt. HMM I WONDER WHO’S WHO

8.      Okay now the book ACTUALLY starts

9.      Different fonts or different colors? COLORS

10.  POLAROID

11.  DANS BABY PHOTO STOOOOP

12.  AND PHIL’S MY HEART

13.  I like the A-Z thing. That’s cute :P

14.  11 YEAR OLD DAN

20.  Highschool stories. So cute, stopppp.

21.  How to Draw the PERFECT cat whiskers. *casually sits with cat whiskers drawn on face while watching videos*

22.  Drawings of the apartment are awesome. I like that they included it.

23.  IM THE ORANGE CHAIR

24.  I’m so glad that they have a radio show. They’re doing SO MUCH with their lives.

25.  The REAL One Direction Story

26.  I’ve always wanted to be a YouTuber. The “Guide to Being a YouTuber” is a great addition to the book.

27.  THERES SO MANY PICTURES OF THEM I CANT

28.  Japan stories and pictures and ITS AWESOME

29.  THEY WROTE THEIR OWN MANGA?!

30.  DAN WROTE FANFICTION OH JEEZ OH GOD WHY

31.  SO DID PHIL. And it’s quite odd. Not surprising.

32.  THE VEGAS STORY. Excuse me while I fangirl.

33.  I can’t believe that they wrote a book. I love it. I love them.

34.  Please don’t ever stop making videos PLEASE.

Overall feeling about the book: I enjoy that they made this. I’m glad that they decide every day to let us into their lives through videos and books and stories. I really hope that they continue on the path that they’re on, because they’re two very lovable people that deserve nothing but awesomeness.
