After all these months waiting in the cold, spring break is finally here. But before you can veg out of the beach, you have to make sure you have all the necessary items that will afford you the most comfortable, relaxing, sunshine filled break ever. Here is the definitive Her Campus packing list of all the things you absolutely cannot forget to pack in your going-away bag. 

Unforgettables 

  • Ticket(s) (for traveling and any events you’re attending)
  • Cell phone
  • ID 
  • Sunglasses
  • Medications
  • Gum
  • Wallet 
  • Snacks
  • Reusable water bottle 
  • Antibacterial gel
  • Headphones

Clothes

  • 3 to 5 swimsuits 
  • 3 casual
  • 3 going-out tops 
  • Sweatshirt or a warmer layer
  • 2 going-out bottoms 
  • 2 pairs of shorts 
  • A pair of jeans
  • 2 to 3 cover-ups or casual dresses (coverups)
  • 1 nice-ish dress for going out

**Remember TSA’s 3-1-1 rule: any liquids, gels, creams, pastes, and aerosols must be in 3 ounce bottles or tubes in 1 quart-sized, clear plastic zip-top bag, and you’re only allowed one bag per person.

  • Disposable camera (so you don’t have to worry about your phone or nice camera getting sandy or wet!)
  • Chargers (get a cheap portable phone charger for long days at the beach or while you’re en route)
  • Books or magazines

  • Koozies (keep it cool)
  • Zip-lock bag or waterproof pouch for your wet swimsuit
