Between writing papers and studying for exams, nobody in college wants to spend countless time getting ready. Even though one doesn’t want to do this, it’s still a good feeling to look presentable. It can even improve your mood, especially if you’re going to a class that isn’t your favorite. Here are a few makeup essentials that won’t break your bank, but will still have you feeling your best.

1. Mascara

Mascara can make all the difference. It instantly opens up your eyes, which makes you look more awake. My favorite is the Maybelline Volum’ Express The Rocket Mascara (It’s only $7 at the drugstore!).

2. Concealer

The next most important product is concealer. After a night of staying up late, you’re bound to have undereye circles. You don’t want these visible, which makes concealer the perfect item to cover them. My favorite is the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer Wand. Not only is it extremely affordable, but also it’s great quality (It also looks great in pictures!).

3. Powder

You’re going to want to set your concealer, which is where powder comes into play. There’s different options when it comes to this as you can just get translucent powder or one that matches your skin tone. It’s whatever one you prefer.

4. Lipgloss/ chapstick

To complete your simple makeup look, grab a lip product. You can choice your favorite lipgloss or just apply chapstick like Carmex.

Optional Products

Highlighter

Highlighter is the perfect product to add, if you have time, to give your face a glow. You can opt for a high-end or drugstore one.

Foundation

Foundation is great if you want more coverage, especially if you’re breaking out (Tests are stressful!) My favorite is the L’Oreal® Paris Infallible Matte Foundation. It’s medium coverage, but you can definitely build it up to make it full coverage. This foundation feels extremely light on my face and it stays all day!
