HC Fordham Senior Staff Series: Olivia Caponigro

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fordham chapter.

If you follow the Her Campus Fordham Instagram account, you are enjoying some beautiful pictures of Fordham taken by one of our seniors on staff Olivia Caponigro. [Note: if you’re not following HC Fordham on Instagram, you absolutely should & you can search for us under the username hercampusfordham.] During her past four years here, she has pursued multiple academic interests while still managing to have fun. You could basically call her a ~renaissance woman~. On top of that, she’s best friends and roommates with two of her fellow senior staff members, Carly Morrison and Alyssa Fiorentino. Read on to learn more about what makes her a celeb in our eyes!

I’m an English major with a double minor in Psychology & Marketing.
How did you decide to come to Fordham?
I was really undecided about which school I wanted to go to actually. But after visiting Fordham’s campus I immediately knew that this is where I needed to be. Also, my dad and grandpa attended Fordham, too.
Do you have a favorite Fordham memory?
There’s so many! Some of my favorite memories though are from spring weekends, including when I won the grand prize (an iPad) at CAB’s annual bingo event sophomore year.
What’s your favorite class you’ve taken at Fordham?
Probably the two marketing study tours I took over sophomore year and senior year Christmas breaks. Sophomore year we went to Galway, Ireland, and this year we went to Madrid, Spain. The study tours at Fordham are about a week long and one of the school’s many hidden gems.
Who is your favorite professor at Fordham?
Professor Armando Fuentes… I had him for Multicultural Issues junior year and he was amazing!
Where’s your favorite spot on campus?
Eddie’s on a beautiful spring day, that…or my bed

What’s one thing everyone would be surprised to learn about you?
Hmmm.. I don’t like chocolate and I know how to knit
If you could give one piece of advice to a Fordham collegiette, what would it be?
