Have You Seen The “Professors Read Mean Reviews” Video?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fordham chapter.

To be honest, since The Rival launched their Vimeo channel in February, I haven’t been paying close attention to their content, but yesterday in my Facebook news feed something caught my eye. One of The Rival’s newest videos involves Fordham professors reading mean reviews about themselves.

Honestly, why didn’t someone think of this sooner? Ever since Jimmy Kimmel started this series, there’s been almost 14 segments of reading mean tweets. From celebrities like George Clooney to Carrie Underwood to Obama (when he was President). Professors reading mean reviews is naturally the next step.

The video is, if nothing else, entertaining, as I believe it was meant to be. But it also makes you think how it must feel to read mean comments about yourself. Maybe some students will second guess what they write the next time they hit publish on RateMyTeacher.com.
