Happy May Collegiette’s! We made it! The year is finally coming to and end, and summer is right around the corner. Here’s a little something extra to get you through those finals!

What to Wear:

The Crop Top” with the bare mid-drift trend making a statement this spring, the crop top has made itself a staple for this summer. Tight turtleneck tanks have become a must-wear look, paired with anything high-waisted from shorts, to skirts, to denim. You can get this look at stores like Forever21, Tobi, or Top Shop.

Color-block sandals: the color-block trend is still kicking, literally. This summer when you’re searching for new sandals go for something colorful and two-toned like these flats and wedges by DV.

What to Watch:

The Great Gatsby: you read it in high school, you loved it as the under-the-tent dance theme for Spring Weekend 2013, now you can count down the days until The Great Gatsby hits theatres. This might be the most anticipated adaptation of the summer with Leonardo DiCaprio starring as Gatsby himself.  May 10 can’t come soon enough!

May Hottie: Justin Timberlake is finally back on the music scene, and we can’t get enough! With promising singles like “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors” already taking over radio waves, his new album The 20/20 Experience is already shaping up to be a summer hit. But wait, there’s more. The album’s sequel drops this September. This is Justin’s third studio album, but first album in six years and it’s been worth the wait! Thanks for making May so hot Justin!

Remember, Mother’s Day is May 12th! Make sure you’ve got the right gift for mom! If you’re stumped on gift ideas, try something creative like doing the grocery shopping for the week and cooking her a special dinner! She is your mom you know!
