The Dean’s List: April 2013

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fordham chapter.

It’s April! We can’t believe it! The weather has been playing a few April Fool’s jokes on us already, but one thing is for sure: it’s springtime at Fordham. You’re sending home your winter coats and carefully selecting your dress for the Under-The-Tent dance, and with the semester winding down you probably feel like your head is starting to spin; but don’t miss out on what else is going on in the world this month!

What to Wear: Girly Sneakers – It’s about that time of year when every girl is frustrated and confused with footwear. April is still too cold for sandals and flip-flops, but yet it’s too sunny for your fall/winter boots. So what’s a girl to do? Before you grab your go-to boat shoes, consider a pair of cute, colorful sneakers for your transition shoe this spring. A few of my favorites are the designer and celeb inspired Keds, like these from Taylor Swift and Kate Spade, or these super fun neon-washed converse!

What to Download: Getting tired of Snapchat? Too timid for Tinder? If you’re looking for the newest app fad, look no further! To satisfy your download desires might we suggest the newest app craze Vine! With vine users can film short video clips that play on a loop. From funny faces to food phases, you can get as creative as you want with these short videos, cutting and rolling as you please. Connect with friends to watch and “like” their videos too!

April Hottie:

Blake Shelton has got quite the resume; from being a judge on “The Voice” to winning CMA Entertainer of the Year in 2012, Blake has been working non-stop. He’s starting April off on a great note as he promotes his newly released album Based On A True Story. Blake’s down-to-earth attitude has him winning hearts all over!

Things to Remember:

We register for the Fall 2013 semester this month, so don’t forget to visit your advisor and get your holds removed!

The Fashion For Philanthropy fashion show is also this month! Friday, April 19th join FFP club members to celebrate a year of hard work, amazing trends, and a great cause! Tickets are $5 for general admission, and $12 for the VIP package, all proceeds going to the Make A Wish Foundation. Doors open at 6:00 and the show starts at 7:00, you won’t want to miss this!

Last, but definitely not least, the acts for the Spring Weekend concert have just been announced! Fordham will welcome Andy Grammer and Grouplove to celebrate the end of the semester… can’t wait!
