Ana Marie Enriquez, GSB ’16

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fordham chapter.

Name: Ana Marie Enriquez

Flava Name: Ana

Major: Accounting with a minor in Finance

Why she picked Fordham: At the time I was choosing between Rutgers and Fordham.  I chose Fordham just because I didn’t want to go to school in NJ.  I had no idea what the campus was like and whether or not I would like it here.  I just got lucky that I found a group of people I cliqued so well with.

Campus Involvement: Flava, FUPAC, ACE

Single or Taken: Single-ish

Who is your celebrity crush? Liam Hemsworth

What’s one thing you don’t understand about the opposite sex? Why they can never be truthful about their feelings.

What she is looking for in a significant other: He would be like my best friend.  He’s someone I can easily talk to, goof around with, pig out with and literally just be myself with.  He would be smart and still have goals in life. He knows what to prioritize in his life.

Your dream guy can’t dance. As a Flava member, is this a deal breaker or you’ll get over it? I would be able to get over it.  It would be fun trying to teach someone to dance.  As long as we clique well, that’s all that matters.

What’s your hidden talent? I can twerk on a wall.

What’s your favorite thing about Flava (Fordham University’s only hip-hop team on campus)? My favorite thing about Flava is how crazy everyone on the team can be.  The team is literally just one big family.  The best part is that if you’re having a rough day you can just go to your Flava family and they’ll find ways to turn your day around.

The Flava showcase is April 12. What is the one thing you are most excited about with the showcase? Do you have a favorite dance? I am so excited just to dance on the stage with everyone.  I can’t wait to show off all of our hard work to everyone. I also just can’t wait to relax after all this hard work.

If you could only dance to one song for the rest of your life what would it be? Bumaye – Major Lazer; I just love how it is upbeat and it has that reggae vibe to it.

Life motto: “Learn from yesterday; live for today; hope for tomorrow.”
