7 Quick, Easy Christmas Ideas For Friends

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fordham chapter.

Christmas is coming, which means that before you go home for the semester, chances are you’ll be having a Christmas party or two with some friends. Whether or not you’re in college, if you find yourself stuck and unsure of what to get some of your friends for Christmas, here are seven quick, easy purchases that are guaranteed to put a smile on their faces without causing serious damage to your bank account.

1. Absolutely anything from Bath & Body Works.

You can’t go wrong here! Bath & Body Works carries so many air fresheners, perfumes, candles, lotions, bubble baths, and now even bath bombs — plus, they have some pretty great holiday sales, so you can get several items for several friends all in one place for a great price!

2. Similarly, anything from Target’s dollar section.

The dollar section doesn’t have to mean you love your friends any less! As someone who is super into cute stationary and things like that, Target is great for having cute notebooks, pens, pencils, and stationery in its dollar section that looks so adorable and is actually super durable.

3. Adorable mugs.

Because who doesn’t love to have some hot chocolate on a chilly day out of an adorable mug boasting cool things like cats and feminism?

4. Adorable plants!

One of the perks of going to school here at Fordham means we’re lucky enough to have the Botanical Gardens right across the street. Which means there are adorable little succulents in the gift shop (for great prices!) that are looking for a new home!

5. Handy gift sets from places you wouldn’t expect.

Places like Walgreens have really cool gift sets that you can utilize while also staying within your budget. For example, they sell a Starbucks gift set that comes with a cute mug, some candy, and a gift card! If you can’t find any in a store, you can always make a little gift set of your own.

6. A good book.

In addition to being affordable, books contain some of the world’s greatest stories, so if you found one that you’ve been particularly in love with lately, why not pass it along and share the story? Websites like Goodreads.com always have great recommendations based on particular genres as well, if you aren’t sure what your friends would like!

7. Laptop stickers. Websites like RedBubble have tons of adorable, funny stickers that can no-doubt coincide with some of you and your friends’ inside jokes. There’s something for everyone, and it’s a little way for your friend to carry your shared memories wherever they go (and whatever class they sit through)!

So those are my seven ideas for what to get your friends for Christmas if you’re looking for something quick and easy! Have very Happy Holidays and get to the gift-wrapping! :-)
