Recently Taylor Swift wiped out all social media, leaving her fans freaking out and kept the world on its toes until she posted a series of clips on Instagram. We all knew something was coming out of this “off the grid” stunt. This was all buildup and a great P.R. strategy to release both the name and date of Reputation, coming out November tenth. Is this the Taylor that has been hiding behind all of her other albums? Rumor has it that this album is all about her haters and everyone who has affected her negatively. From the Kanye West and Kim Kardashian phone call, to her Calvin Harris break up. Lately, Swift has gained a reputation of being a snake and her Instagram showcased a snake slithering. Does this mean she is finally accepting her reputation? Swift’s album is predicted to break down all barriers and definitely make a statement.

So, what do we already know about Reputation? Well besides the release date, we know It will include 15 songs, and a 72-page magazine of Swifts poetry and other exclusives, as long as you buy the album directly through Target. Reputation is most likely the album that will spill all the beef Swift has had with certain celebrities and it seems to be the way she wants to re-brands herself. No more T-Swift and her cute songs, now she is taking out the claws, literally. The question is, will she really be that snake people have been portraying her to be? T-Swift might be accepting all the names and rumors about her and she is finally doing something about it. Swift has also started to sell merchandise with a snake on it so there is no going back.

First single was released: “Look what you made me do.” If you haven’t heard her single, go listen to it. This new Taylor Swift is coming in hot and you don’t want to mess with her. This dark pop song includes a lyric that declares that “the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now, cause she’s dead.” Those lyrics send a powerful message to her listeners. The whole idea of this song is to show the world that she isn’t afraid to own up to her reputation. The song also throws some shade to her enemies like Kanye West and Katy Perry. Swift mentions in the song she has a list of names and some are underlined in red, checked once and even twice, Swift is serious about this comeback and wants to prove the world that she is back and stronger than ever. Perhaps all the feuds with these celebrities made Taylor Swift a better artist, and we all know Swift has a lot to write about…
Grand Reveal at the VMA Awards: I guess we won’t find out what is really behind Swifts new album Reputation until this Sunday’s VMA Awards. Swift will be performing and most likely have more surprises during the show. Grab some popcorn because Swift isn’t done yet and there is more to come! Now you tell me is this a comeback, or is Taylor Swift just stirring more drama?
We are all going to have to wait and see.
