When scrolling through Instagram or Twitter it’s obvious that 2017 is turning out to be a weird year for beauty trends. In about ten years everyone will probably look back on these trends the same way a lot of us look back on our middle school pictures…with a lot of cringing.

1. Wavy eyebrows and lips

The newest craze in viral Twitter and IG makeup has become so popular that Snapchat has made a wavy eyebrow filter.

2. Full face of highlighter

Chest, back, legs, feet. you name the body part and there is probably a tutorial on how to contour it somewhere on the internet.

4. Bizarre applicators

From light bulbs to male contraceptives, the internet has seen all kinds of weird substitutions for applying foundation with a beauty sponge.
