You can finally say goodbye to your sore muscles with the most natural product yet. There are many factors that can contribute to a sore and achy body. These factors can range from your daily exercise routine or simply just sleeping in a position your body does not agree with. We often turn to medicine such as Advil, Tylenol, or Motrin to help alleviate the discomfort. If you’re an individual who tends to suffer from sore muscles more than the average person constantly taking medicine may not be the best thing for your body. This is the moment where essential oils can become your new best-friend. These four essential oils that I will be listing below have been found to help with a sore and achy body. It’s important to note that you should always dilute any essential oil before putting it on your skin.  It’s recommended to use six to twelve drops of the essential oil per ounce of a carrier. A carrier can include hand lotions or fatty oils such as almond or jojoba oil.

Peppermint

Peppermint oil is known to be used to treat headaches and muscle aches. Peppermint has antispasmodic abilities. What this essentially means is that it can calm muscle spasms. It can also help to reduce inflammation throughout the body.

Lavender

Lavender oil is most popular for its relaxing scent loved by many people. Lavender can be used for so much more! Lavender helps treat muscle aches/spasms, cramps and inflammation. You can also use it in a case of a painful tension headache.

Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus oil can be used during those quick massages you find yourself doing before bed. Eucalyptus adds an initial cooling sensation to the body. This will ultimately help warm the muscle tissue up which leads to increased circulation.

Chamomile

There are two different type of chamomile oils that will help with a sore body, german chamomile and roman chamomile. German chamomile is used for inflamed joints and muscles. Roman chamomile is used to ease muscle cramps and help those who suffer from restless leg syndrome.

There are so many natural resources around us that can be used to treat our aches and pain. Constantly taking medication day in and day out can only hurt your internal organs in the long run. It’s all about balance! Switch that advil from time to time for some chamomile essential oil. Once you try it you’ll be asking yourself why you haven’t made this discovery sooner.
