Princess Diana was a fashion icon and loved by everyone all over the world for her empathy and charities. Her athletic leisure style has even gone viral on TikTok with everyone wearing oversized sweaters and biker shorts just like Lady Di. As fabulous as she was, she was far from perfect and struggled with her mental health. She had an eating disorder and was constantly worrying about her appearance just like the rest of us. To the whole world, she was the perfect princess. Behind all that beauty and grace, was a woman struggling with anxiety and depression. The most beautiful thing about Princess Diana was her ability to rise above all the drama circulating in her life.

Princess Diana used fashion as a weapon. In other words, she would make sure she was photographed in an amazing outfit so that the press would focus on that instead of her dwindling marriage. This tactic can be applied to us as well. Dressing nicely can not only lift our spirits, but also gives us power to conquer anything that life throws at us. When you look good, you feel good and having that confidence boost can make a huge difference. An iconic moment in fashion history was when Princess Diana wore what was referred to as the revenge dress. This scandalous off-the-shoulder moment broke royal protocol and the press went wild. This was exactly her intention because the news of Prince Charles cheating on her with Camila finally broke and she wanted to distract the press. She took charge of the situation by making a ground-breaking public appearance. Sometimes the best thing we can do in any situation is show up with our heads held high.
