Even though it seems like November 3rd, 2020 is far from being close, politicians are calling it early and announcing their candidacy for the next election. 2019 kicked off with politicians nominating themselves for the presidency. Thus far, there are exactly 14 candidates that are officially running for President. Included in those 14 candidates is President Trump. Here is the official list of candidates running for President:

Democratic Party:

  • Cory Booker- Senator of New Jersey

  • Pete Buttigieg- Mayor of South Bend

  • Julian Castro- Former Housing Secretary

  • John Delaney- Former Congressman from Maryland

  • Tulsi Gabbard- Congresswoman from Hawaii

  • Kirsten Gillibrand- Senator from New York

  • Kamala Harris- Senator from California

  • Amy Klobuchar- Senator from Minnesota

  • Bernie Sanders- Senator from Vermont

  • Elizabeth Warren- Senator from Massachusetts

  • Marianne Williamson- Self- Help Author

  • Andrew Yang- Former Tech Executive

Republican Party:

  • Donald Trump- U.S. President

  • William F. Weld- Former Governor of Massachusetts
