For all my natural hair girlies, trying to find the perfect haircare brand to treat our curls can be a struggle. Especially one that is black owned. That’s why Bread Beauty Supply is my go-to!

Bread Beauty Supply is a black owned hair care line founded by Maeva Heim in Australia. When it launched in 2020, Heim wanted a haircare brand that was clean, practical and fun for women with curly, coiled and textured hair to have “haircare basics for not so basic hair”.

But we don’t want haircare to feel forced or chore-like anymore. Haircare should be fun. So we’ve created a line of haircare basics – think, products that are easy to use, suitable for all hair types, and buildable for your preferred routine.

As of now, they have 15 hair products and accessories to choose from. Their most popular product is the everyday hair oil that’s “like a lip gloss, but for your hair”. A multi-use hair oil that’s vegan, silicone and cruelty free with key ingredients of Australian Kakadu Plum, Safflower Oil and Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (commonly used ingredient in soaps and cosmetics, combination of coconut oil and glycerin). It also softens and moisturizes strands, gives your hair the ultimate gloss, treats damages and helps you style.

Here are some of their top products in my haircare cabinet!

Mud Mask

A pre-shampoo treatment that resets your curls and gently exfoliates your scalp. “A clay mask, but not for your face”, made with Clay and Quartz, Broccoli Extract and Matcha Tea Leaf Extract. It detoxifies your scalp, while giving your curly strands a cool refresh. 8/10 ⭐

Hair-mask

A silicone free deep conditioner mask that cushions your hair in cloud-like softness. For a decent amount of slip that doesn’t weigh down your curls, hair-mask is where conditioner meets masks meets treatment. Made with Australian Kakadu Plum and Starflower Oil for velvety strands. 10/10 ⭐

Hair-Foam

A strong hold repairing mousse that defines hair. Sets hair as it dries and isn’t sticky, crispy nor crunchy. Holds curls without heavy products. Made with Biomimimetic Silk Proteins, TeraBondTM and Vegan Keratin. 8/10 ⭐

Hair-Gel

A protective gel gloss for wet set curls. A water-based botanical styler that’s hydrating and defining with a seal of protective shine. Made with Red-Algae based polymer, Yuzu for antioxidant boost and Hydrolyzed Silk to repair and soften. 7/10 ⭐
