Miami Screams for Ice Cream

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FIU chapter.

Plan your outfits, think of captions and charge those cameras because the Museum of Ice Cream is heading our way! After months of sold out exhibitions in New York and San Francisco, the latest pop-up location just so happens to be right here in Miami Beach.

Now you may be thinking, besides a bunch of Instagram worthy pictures, what does this museum exactly feature? Well, for a flat rate of $38 (unless younger than 3 years old, which if so, how are you reading this?) You get to experience a modern take on a museum, unique architecture, complementary ice cream tastings, a swing made of bananas and perhaps the most popular feature of MOIC… a pool filled with 100 million sprinkles.

Now, for the germaphobe (or the foodie) although they look and feel like sprinkles, they aren’t edible. Apparently they are colorful, plastic nodes that get disinfected each day!

But the pictures are just one of the many experiences you can get out of visiting this museum. The most revolutionary aspect is the interaction with the art in each distinctive room. A gummy bear garden, unicorn milk ice cream and cotton candy clouds, what more could you ask for?

The Miami location will be open to the public starting on December 13, 2017 until February 2018. But, if you’re feeling a little boujee and can’t wait to start spamming peoples feed, MOIC will be hosting an advanced, exclusive tour during Art Basel week for a mere $98.

Tell the group chat, make the plans and get your Instagram dreams to come true. Snag those tickets before they sell out!
