Do I need a jade roller? I found myself asking this question as I started to see beauty gurus swearing by these little gadgets. Do I need a jade roller? What is a jade roller? After some research, it doesn’t sound like too bad an idea.

What is a jade roller?

A jade roller is a little tool, kind of like a paint roller, that is used on the face to enhance brightness and tighten skin while reducing puffiness and rolling away toxins. Sounds great, what a great thing modern beauty tools are. Right? Wrong. The Jade roller goes back hundreds of years in Chinese culture, and is just now making a comeback with its beautiful and elegant design and simplicity of use, there isn’t an influencer who hasn’t talked about it.

How do I use it?

The jade roller can be used as is, on a clean face, for added strength when it comes to reducing puffiness it can be stored in the refrigerator 15 minutes prior to use. The stone will retain the cool temperatures for a good time and that will help especially with your under eyes. It can also be used before bed with any facial oil you prefer. Apply the oil and roll the stone up and down or side to side over the skin. The rolling motion and added pressure is supposed to help the skin absorb the oil better and the roller itself will help move toxins out of your face by stimulating the lymphatic system just under your skin.

Overall the product sounds wonderful, who doesn’t love cool, bright and tight skin that retains moisture and feels clean. If you’re one to try the latest trend, the jade roller should be on your “to try,” list.  I know it’s on mine!
