If you’re not an avid reader cracking open a book to read can be very difficult. Whether you’re reading for personal pleasure or for school here are some tips to help you continue reading.

1.    Audio-Books

Audio-books can be better than reading a book by yourself. Nowadays, many celebrities such as Morgan Freeman can read for you with his iconic voice! Listening to a book being read is similar to listening to music. It’s very soothing and entertaining as well. Websites such as Audible books can help you listen to thousands of books free if you’re a student. All you have to do is sign up for Amazon prime (Free for students) and then you can use the 30-day free Audible trial.

2.    Location, Location!

Location is everything while attempting to start reading. Where you are located makes a major difference on if you will be able to get through some pages. Some great spots to read could be at a nature park, the beach or a small coffee shop (preferably not Starbucks). You want to read where there are minimal noise and fewer distractions.

3.  Drink Up!

Drinking your favorite drink while reading can put you in the mood to read more. Whether its Wine or coffee, you can’t go wrong. As long as it gets you relaxed and cozy to crack open your book. Depending on your beverage preference drinking the right drink can make you addicted to drinking and reading. Which is a good habit!

4.  Plan It Out!

Most “adult books” (200 pages and more) have many pages and sometimes can be overwhelming. Planning out how many pages a day you will read can make a world of a difference.  It also can help you prevent from procrastinating and help you make a time span of when you would like to complete reading your book.  If you don’t plan out your book most likely it will be left unfinished. So plan it out!
