Hidden, Yet Instagram-Worthy Spots in Miami

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FIU chapter.

When scrolling through Instagram, it’s evident that Miami has a few places where locals and tourists seem to take the most pictures such as Wynwood Walls, Pérez Art Museum Miami and Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. Here are picturesque locations that give you a large appearance on social media and a memorable experience.

Casa Florida

From its converted 1965 GM bus to Florida-themed decorations, Casa Florida is an ideal location to showcase your afternoon adventure. Casa Florida offers a relaxed, 1960s Miami vibe perfect for capturing its culture and aesthetic.

The location features a typical Miami color scheme of pastel pink, yellow and green to complement the tropical ambiance. The bus is decorated with an array of palm and banana leaf plants, furniture and wallpaper.

Once you’ve shared the perfect picture, enjoy a selection of beer, cocktails and food that were carefully chosen to symbolize Miami. Their specialty food and drinks allow visitors to try local beers and ingredients, giving them a taste of Florida.

OTL

As trendy coffee shops gain popularity, OTL delivers a sleek and upscale environment to complement its position in the Miami Design District. OTL is a bright and airy café with aqua-blue and pastel pink accents. Its white backdrop, wood furnishings and high ceilings make it a perfect spot for Instagram-worthy pictures. Whether it’s for portraits of yourself or one of their lattes, OTL’s open space allow for great lighting.

Try OTL’s all-day breakfast and lunch menu, which offers an array of choices from sandwiches and salads to light pastries. It’s a great place to unwind with the rest of Miamians, enjoy a craft coffee, and take a few pictures.

Cielito Artisan Pops

Being Miami’s first artisan ice-pop store, Cielito Artisan Pops made sure to create an environment fit for the artistic vibe and people of Wynwood. The appearance stems from its modern interior design, kitchen faucets pouring chocolate sauces, and colorful and elaborate toppings bar. The owners recognized the importance of picture taking in Wynwood and created a wall with golden wings and the company’s logo for customers to showcase their ice-pops online.

As the seasons change, so do their flavors. Indulge in one of the store’s handmade fruit or ice cream pops prepared from ingredients by local farmers and vendors, and exemplify the many flavors of Miami. Customers can design their very own ice-pop and make it as appealing and tasty as they’d like for themselves and their Instagram.

Española Way

When you’re wishing for European getaway pictures, Española Way is the perfect location to make it look like you’re in Spain right here in Miami. Española Way is a vibrant and historic street on South Beach modeled after artistic and romantic Mediterranean villages in Paris and Spain.

Its picturesque peach-colored walls and bohemian décor will transport you and your followers to the architectural and cultural experience of Europe. Stroll through the pedestrian-only street to photograph yourself or scenic shots of the tile roofs, rounded archways and charming balconies.

Whether you’re looking to siesta or fiesta, Española Way offers the ultimate dining, shopping and entertainment experience. For a taste of Spain, indulge in savory and authentic tapas and cocktails at Tapas y Tintos. If you visit from Thursday to Sunday, the restaurant offers a live flamenco show starting at 8 p.m.
