Living in Miami our “fall season” is a little different from most places. For us, the temperature gets a little cooler and some leaves turn brown and fall, but other than that, everything stays the same. However, this doesn’t mean your fashion has to! Who said us Miami girls can’t wear the latest fall styles too? No one! This is why we’ve provided you with a cute and simple “do it yourself” headband perfect for this season!

For this headband, all you need is a thin, long scarf! Pick a warm color like orange, burgundy, brown or red to fit the colors of the season!

Step 1: Position the middle of your scarf at the nape of your neck. It’s basically where your hairline and neck meet, or where your skull and neck meet. To make it easy, just place your hand on the back of your neck. That’s your nape!

Step 2: Bring the two ends up to your forehead and then twist them twice.

Step 3: Then, bring what is left of the two ends back behind your neck and tie a knot. Make sure it’s secure so it won’t fall off!

This headband is easy, cute and perfect for a fall day at FIU! Since the weather can be cooler in the mornings, you can wear your scarf in the morning. Then, when it gets too hot, switch it up and turn your scarf into this headband!
