Naomi and the girls are part of my family, it’s like we grew up together, so having them there with me made that moment even more emotional and important.”  According to CNN, a tribute “Marking 20 years since her brother's murder in 1997, the show brought together Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christensen and Carla Bruni, who walked arm in arm down the catwalk during the finale as George Michael's "Freedom" played.” The dedication to her late brother, Gianni Versace, is said to have been a masterpiece and left many in awe, giving another reason for her being awarded the Fashion Icon award.
